YMCA Tennis Center Carnival

Come join us at the Tennis Center for some fun court games, activities, prizes and snacks.  Bring a friend and check out the YMCA’s Indoor Tennis Courts and programming for fall!

Friday Fun Field Trips

The playground program is for children ages 6 and older.  We will accept registration for Fun Field Trips beginning April 20, at the Oshkosh Recreation Department Office.

Bill Van Lieshout Memorial Youth Tennis Tournament

This will be a fun tournament for kids of various levels. It will be a fantastic opportunity for kids of all levels and abilities to come and test their skills and get a feel for tournament play. The singles tournament will be held on the Friday when the Adult Bill Van Lieshout Tennis Classic occurs. This will be a tournament to honor Bill Van Lieshout and his legacy of getting so many kids involved in the life time sport of tennis!

The Bill Van Lieshout Memorial Youth Tennis Tournament will be held Friday, June 26 at Oshkosh North High School for singles and Friday, July 17 for the doubles. Entry forms and concussion waivers will be available at all City Lesson sites, ORD office and Oshkosh YMCA Tennis Center.

Registration is also available using the registration form in the Activity Guide.  This will be a pre-registration tournament. The tournament will begin at 8:00 AM. Specific times will be determined based on sign-up.   pdf Download the Summer 2020 Registration Form (213 KB)

Boys & Girls Singles Tournament  •  Friday, June 26

Boys & Girls Doubles Tourmanet  •  Friday, July 17

Tournament play will be offered in the following age divisions:

  • 12 years and under (co-ed);
  • 15 years and under (boys & girls, intermediate & advanced),
  • 18 years and under (boys & girls, intermediate & advanced).

Divisions may be altered based on sign up. A player may play up in a division but cannot play in a younger division.

If you cannot find a doubles partner for the tournament, we will attempt to find a partner for you the day of the tournament. These tournaments are available to Oshkosh Area School District residents only.


Residents:  $5.00/Person
Non-Residents:  $10.00/Person

Adam Gundlach Memorial Swim Meet

Ages: 3 & up

This is a FUN event for all swimming abilities!

Friday, July 10, 2020
8:30 - 11:30am (approx)
West High School Pool Door #20

Events will include front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke, inner tube race, noodle race and life jacket race for boys and girls.

  • Must be able to swim at least one length (25 yards) with or without use of a life jacket.
  • Must be age as of July 10, 2020.
  • The deadline to register is Friday, July 2. Late registrations will NOT be accepted.
  • Forms can be turned in at the ORD office or at lessons.

We encourage cheering and good sportsmanship. Participants will receive goodies for participating and a chance to win a door prize. Spectators can participate in our 50-50 cash raffle. Proceeds go back to help fund future meets. Watch for our t-shirt pre-sale!

Registration forms will be available at swim lessons and the ORD office beginning Monday, June 8.

ORD Swim Team Try It Days

For all NEW swimmers to the ORD Swim Team. Skill evaluations will be done on Tuesday, June 2 and Thursday, June 4 at West High School Pool from 5:30 – 6:30pm.

New swimmers need to attend only ONE Try It Day session. 

Participants must meet the minimum requirements to participate on the team. A parent or adult guardian needs to be present. After evaluation is completed and swimmer is accepted, swimmer may begin to attend regular practices.
