The Oshkosh Area School District is offering a Community Walking Program beginning in November and continuing through mid April at West High School. Individuals may walk the halls of a designated path at the school Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays when school is in session from 5:30-7:30pm at West High School.
A map of the walking route will be provided. Participants should wear a comfortable walking shoe. Winter boots will not be allowed on the walking path.
An additional walking opportunity is available at the Recreation Gym, 425 Division Street on weekdays from 7:30 – 8:00 AM and 1:00 – 2:00 PM when the ORD office is open and the gym is available.
(When school is cancelled due to the weather, the program will also be cancelled for the day – Please note that when there is a 2 inch or more snowfall overnight, snow plowing will be occurring in the school parking lots).
Fees: There is no charge for this program but participants must register in advance at the Recreation Department and receive an identification badge.
