Junior Anglers (In Person)
The Oshkosh Recreation Department and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources will sponsor a Junior Angler Education Program for girls and boys. The program will cover aquatic ecology, fish habitat and habits, outdoor ethics, fisheries management, fishing equipment and fishing techniques. Two classroom sessions will be conducted in addition to a shoreline fishing experience.
The Junior Angler Program is for youth with little or no fishing experience. All fishing equipment will be provided. Participants must be required age as of first day of program.
*This program is offered free of charge for Oshkosh residents due to it being a part of the Oshkosh Area School District summer school program.
In the event of inclement weather, Junior Anglers may be cancelled and the cancellations will be posted on our website. There will be no makeup dates/refunds for any cancellations.
