Level 1: Learn the basics of ASL! Learn to fingerspell the alphabet and numbers, along with the signs for colors, foods, and animals, as well as simple phrases to use to communicate with a deaf person. This is a hands-on class and you will be continuing to build your vocabulary each week.
Level 2: Must have completed Basic Sign Level 1 to register. A continuation from Basic Sign Level 1, students will be adding more vocabulary and concepts to already existing sign language skills. Learning sentence structure, phrases, and more advanced communication skills. Learning about deaf culture and how to use an interpreter, (roles and responsibilities). Practice fluency with fingerspelling and sentence structure, emphasis on voicing simple phrases and concepts!
