Sheldon Tale Trail Series - New!
The ORD is excited to introduce you to the new Story Tale Trail installed at the Sheldon Nature Area in 2024! The trail bridges reading with nature for all to enjoy! Stories will be out year round and will change seasonally and for special events. Please watch for announcements on the ORD facebook page, website and the Sheldon Nature Area facebook page as we develop this exciting new program along with other special events!
The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vermont and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library.

Join us for our Moonlit Trails and Tales Fall Fest on September 28th, held at the Sheldon Nature Area behind Oakwood Elementary in our new Storybook Trail that is being installed! The featured story at this event will be "The Fall Festival" by Mercer Mayer. Jane Kelly with On The Wing will also be visiting with live owls!
