Nature Series with Outdoor Enthusiast Rob Zimmer

The Oshkosh Recreation Department is excited to welcome back naturalist Rob Zimmer for this school year! Join us on the third Wednesday of each month for a new nature presentation that is sure to keep you coming back for more.
All presentations will be hosted by our friends at the Oshkosh Seniors Center - South Building All presentations will be held at the South building located at 200 N. Campbell Rd. Participants will need to pre-register by calling the Seniors Center front desk at (920) 232-5300.

To clean up, or not clean up? That is the question. More and more gardening organizations and nature groups are encouraging people to avoid fall garden cleanup. Leave the leaves. We will learn all about the creatures that benefit from these practices and why you should put off garden clean up until at least spring.

One of the most exciting birdwatching adventures you can enjoy during the winter season is watching for the many rare species of ocean going gulls that spend the winter here along open water on the river and lakes. Once you begin gull watching, you’ll become addicted.

Enjoy this program on bald eagles, as well as many species of owls that can be enjoyed during the winter season. This is peak time to enjoy watching eagles, owls and other birds of prey.
