Have you always wanted to play an instrument but didn’t know where to start? Have you got an old musical instrument in the attic, basement or under the bed that wants to be played? If any of the above sound familiar, the New Horizons Band is perfect for you! New Horizons Music provides affordable music education, training and performance opportunities for adults for any level of musical experience.

No auditions required. Beginners are welcome.

The ORD offers Adult Open Gym activities throughout the city of Oshkosh for those looking to stay active during the school year!  Open Gyms are available at the designated times and locations below. Those wishing to participate in any of these activities must pre-register for the class prior to your first arrival at the activity. Registration lasts for the entire season.  The supervisor will have a class roster and will check you into the gym.

Nature Series with Outdoor Enthusiast Rob Zimmer

The Oshkosh Recreation Department is excited to welcome back naturalist Rob Zimmer for this school year! Join us on the third Wednesday of each month for a new nature presentation that is sure to keep you coming back for more.
All presentations will be hosted by our friends at the Oshkosh Seniors Center - South Building All presentations will be held at the South building located at 200 N. Campbell Rd. Participants will need to pre-register by calling the Seniors Center front desk at (920) 232-5300.   

Adaptive Adventures

Welcome to Adaptive Adventures!

Here are a few important details regarding our new programming for Adults with Disabilities:

  • Activities will be facilitated by Mary Beth Connors and Dana Zander, Oshkosh Area School District Educators.
  • Participants in each class must be able to self-manage behaviors. 
  • Transportation to and from classes is not provided.

Bangles & Baubles Adult

Made just for you, by you.  Insert your own creative stye into our various projects.  Styles and colors of beads and charms may vary.  Pictures shown are examples only.  Base metal materials, not precious metals, are used for all projects.  All supplies will be provided and jewelry making techniques will be taught in each class.
