For children in grades 2 - 4, FIRST LEGO League Explore captures young children’s curiosity and directs it toward discovering the wonders of science and technology. This program features a real-world scientific concept to be explored through research, teamwork, construction and imagination. Guided by adult coaches, teams use LEGO bricks and powered by Lego Education Spike Essential kit to build a model and then showcase their journey at the FLL Explore Expo hosted by Wave Robotics in December.

Requirements:

  • A team consisting of 2 to 6 members, grades 2 - 4.
  • FLL Explore Registration with ORD.
  • Registration Fee Paid (per team member) or per team - TBD.
  • Volunteer Disclosure Statement and Criminal Background Check Authorization from Oshkosh Area School District for each adult coach.
  • Confirmation of requirements by First Lego League Coordinator.

Note: The FLL Explore season runs from August to December. Teams of 2 to 6 students must be formed, fees collected and all forms filled out, and confirmation from the Coordinator prior to registration with ORD. Teams are coached by parent volunteers.
